Finding Your Frame
The Art of the Perfect Fit
Choosing the right frame is equal parts science and intuition. The interplay of face geometry, personal style and intended use converges in a single piece that — at its finest — feels as though it was made specifically for you. This guide is designed to help you navigate that choice with confidence and clarity.
Face Shape Guide
Your Face is the Canvas
Oval
The most universally balanced face shape — gently wider at the cheekbones with a slightly narrower forehead and jaw. Essentially any frame works beautifully.
Round
Full cheeks, a rounded chin and similar width and length. Angular, geometric and rectangular frames add definition and apparent length to the face.
Square
A strong, angular jaw with roughly equal width and length. Rounded and oval frames soften angular features, while thin metal frames reduce visual heaviness.
Heart
Wider at the forehead with a narrower chin. Frames that are wider at the bottom — aviators, butterfly, rimless — balance the face proportions elegantly.
Diamond
Narrow forehead and jaw with wide, high cheekbones. Oval and cat eye frames complement this distinctive shape by broadening the upper face.
Oblong
Long and narrow with an even width throughout. Oversized, deep frames with decorative temples add width and break the vertical line of the face.
Lens Technology
Understanding Your Lenses
The quality of the lens is as important as the quality of the frame. All PearlWaveGlow lenses are sourced from leading optical manufacturers and meet the most exacting standards of clarity, protection and durability.
UV400 Protection
Every PearlWaveGlow lens blocks 100% of UV-A and UV-B radiation up to 400 nanometres — the standard recommended by ophthalmologists worldwide. Non-negotiable in every pair we offer.
Polarisation
Polarised lenses eliminate horizontal glare from reflective surfaces — roads, water, snow. Essential for driving and outdoor activities. Available across our full sunglass collection.
Anti-Reflective
Multi-layer AR coatings on the inner and outer lens surface reduce glare from artificial lighting, improving visual clarity and reducing eye strain — particularly valuable for screen use.
Gradient Tints
Gradient lenses transition from a deeper tint at the top — shielding from overhead sun — to a lighter tint at the bottom, allowing clearer vision of the immediate environment. Simultaneously functional and beautiful.
Frame Materials
What Your Frame is Made of Matters

Premium Material
Italian Acetate
Sourced from the Mazzucchelli mill in Lombardy — the world's leading producer of cellulose acetate — our acetate frames offer unrivalled depth of colour, pattern and warmth.
Handcrafted through a process of cutting, shaping, polishing and buffing that can take over 20 hours per pair, acetate frames are tactile, warm and extraordinarily beautiful.

Technical Excellence
Japanese Titanium
Sourced from artisan workshops in Fukui Prefecture — Japan's legendary eyewear heartland — our titanium frames represent the pinnacle of technical frame engineering.
At less than half the weight of acetate, titanium frames are feather-light on the face, corrosion-resistant, hypoallergenic and virtually indestructible.

Classic Refinement
Stainless Steel
Our stainless steel frames offer exceptional rigidity and polish, with the ability to hold intricate engravings and fine detailing that would be impossible in other materials.
Often plated with gold or palladium, stainless steel frames carry a substantial, considered quality — the choice of the detail-oriented wearer.

Natural Character
Wood Accent
Our wood-accent frames — such as the Aldwych Horn Rim — incorporate sustainably sourced hardwood temples or front sections that bring a warmth and individuality unachievable through any other material.
No two pairs are identical. Each carries the unique grain pattern of the specific timber used — making your frame genuinely, irreducibly singular.
Getting the Right Fit
Frame Measurements Explained
Three numbers define every frame. Understanding them ensures you always order a frame that fits perfectly from the first wearing.
Tip: check the inside of your current frames — these three measurements are usually engraved on the temple arm, e.g. 52 □ 18 — 140.
